IST expands its business

From 1 October, the edtech company IST expands its business in Denmark to include vocational schools in addition to childcare, primary and secondary schools. This is achieved with the acquisition of the Danish company UDDATA, which is part of Svendborg Business School & Gymnasium. UDDATA has approximately 25 employees and has for many years provided administrative systems to vocational schools.

IST and UDDATA is a perfect match. IST is the leading edtech company in the field of schools and daycare, and UDDATA has years of experience in the field of youth education and colleges. The synergies are obvious but we also share the same drive to always focus on customers’ needs and usability. Our customers will truly benefit from the combined experience and product offering that we will bring to the market, says Tommy Eklund, CEO at IST.

IST has offices in Växjö (Head office), Stockholm, Linköping, Oslo, Roskilde, Hamburg – and now also Svendborg.

It is a very exciting time for IST and I am looking forward to welcoming 25 new employees who can provide us with new knowledge within the education field and by that expand our business. I am impressed of what UDDATA has accomplished, and we see great opportunity to build on this success to further expand in this area of business, says Tommy Eklund.
