IST Appoints Chief Operating Officer for the Group

Mikael Wahlberg is assigned the role of Chief Operating Officer and thus has full operational responsibility for taking the IST Group into the future.

The former Deputy CEO will begin his new assignment as ultimately responsible for the Group’s operational activities immediately.

“With this, we clarify IST’s leadership both internally and externally. During his 15 years at IST, Mikael has gained a broad experience of our entire business and he is now tasked with improving the user-friendliness of our products to defend our market position, and gain momentum in our growth areas,” says founder and chairman Björn Sundeby and adds:

“For our users, it is central that our systems contribute with utility, save time and are easy to use. These are important keywords for us, now and into the future.”

Mikael Wahlberg, computer scientist with a teaching degree, has been active in the IT industry for over 20 years and has worked in both technology and marketing.

“I can not imagine a more inspiring assignment. IST is active in an industry where digitalisation is accelerating and our position is unique. We also play an important role in the development of society. It is important that we are constantly responsive to our customers and end users in order to maintain our leading role in the market.
